Acura Motorsports has confirmed that Wayne Taylor Racing Andretti will field the second LMDh Acura ARX-06 in the GTP class in IMSA from 2024, starting with the traditional 24 Hours of Daytona in January.

Acura Motorsports and its performance arm, Honda Performance Development (HPD), have launched the Acura ARX-06 GTP for 2023, alongside the efforts of chassis builder ORECA and a pair of IMSA championship-winning teams: Wayne Taylor Racing and Andretti Autosport and Meyer Shank Racing.

Acura has a good record in IMSA in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship that it joined in 2018, with 3 titles with the old DPi chassis, which are 2019, 2020 and 2022, the year before adopting LMDh.
