Ahead of the season kicking off this weekend, WRT has released this year’s design from nine-time world motorcycle champion Valentino Rossi for his GT World Challenge Europe season.
It’s finally started again! This weekend GT World Challenge Europe kicks off the 2024 season at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France. No fewer than 55 GT3 cars are on the entry list for the three-hour Endurance Cup race.
The most recognizable name in the field will once again be the nine-time world motorcycle champion Valentino Rossi. “Il Dottore”, who is once again the official BMW works driver this year, will share the BMW M4 GT3 with Maxime Martin and BMW guest Raffaele Marciello. The car is used by the successful Belgian WRT team, which Rossi has been driving with since switching to GT3 racing in 2022.
WRT has now presented the design of the race car. As in the previous year, the car with starting number #46 will initially be in dark blue. As a major sponsor, shoe giant Skechers will once again advertise on the car. The BMW only differs from last year’s model in details.
The race will start in Le Castellet on Sunday at 3:00 am. The three-hour race will be streamed by SRO in several languages in an official live stream. In addition to English, French and Italian broadcasts, there will also be German broadcasts. You can also watch streams from the race weekend on The official YouTube channel of SRO song.
