State Police looking for driver of GMC pickup that dropped water heater on I-25

The Washington State Police are searching for the driver of a GMC pickup truck that reportedly dropped a water heater onto Interstate 25.

Authorities are asking the public for assistance in locating the individual responsible for the incident, which occurred near milepost 30.

At around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, a witness reported seeing a dark-colored GMC pickup truck driving erratically on the highway. The witness stated that the truck was being driven at a high rate of speed when it suddenly stopped and dropped a large object, believed to be a water heater, onto the roadway.

The object caused significant damage to the highway, and the Washington State Department of Transportation has been dispatched to assess and make repairs.

The State Police are requesting that anyone with information about the identity of the driver or the incident contact them immediately. They are seeking to identify the individual responsible for the incident and to hold them accountable for any damages and repairs that will be required.
