Strange Noise: Verstappen is looking for a Silverstone form

World champion Max Verstappen is still looking for his championship form in Silverstone’s Formula 1 Mecca 1. The World Cup leader did not get better than a fourth-place finish in Friday’s practice at the British Grand Prix and complained about the incredible noise in his Red Bull.

The fastest in the strong winds was Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, who dropped record winner Lewis Hamilton to second place in the Mercedes. Third was Lando Norris in McLaren on his home game.

In the middle, Sebastian Vettel was slowed down by a damaged lower body on his Aston Martin. Finally, Hessian finished twelve. Haas driver Mick Schumacher went back to the second hole to the last.

The first training had given the team a little information. When it rained, most drivers stayed in their garages, not wanting to take any unnecessary risks in Silverstone’s resilient corners. However, the weather forecast indicates that it could rain again on the qualifying Saturday (4 pm / Sky).

Before the tenth round of this season, defending champion Verstappen is at the top of the overall standings with open leadership. The Dutchman has won six of the nine races this season so far. Second in the world championship is teammate Sergio Perez in front of Ferrari star Charles Leclerc.

Verstappen has had a landmark with Silverstone since last year. After an impressive bout in the first round, Red Bull’s leading driver and Hamilton were touched. Verstappen fell to the barriers. When he was forced to go to the clinic for an examination after a serious accident, Hamilton rushed to victory despite a temporary penalty.

With up to 400,000 spectators, the British Grand Prix could set an attendance record this weekend. However, local police are concerned about possible protests. There are strong indications that a group of activists are planning to disrupt the race and also want to enter the slopes, the authorities concerned said.
