Electric Mini Aceman to end up between Cooper and Countryman

Mini is launching the Aceman at the Beijing Motor Show, a small and fully electric SUV that is of course also intended for the European market. At the moment, there are several pictures of the test car, but they already show how it will look like. Maybe we’ll have to wait a while for business.

While BMW and Mini are making a habit (good or bad?) of pre-launching new models by releasing some images of cars that are still under wraps. These are test vehicles in the final stages of development, we’re told. We saw the new BMW X3 earlier this week, now it’s the Mini Aceman’s turn. This will be the last member of the new family, it will take place in the series between Cooper and the grown-up Citizen.

Two motors and two batteries?

The production model follows one of the same name concept car that the Mini has already been produced two years ago, since then we also know that combustion engines will almost certainly not be offered again for the car. These will be and will continue to be available for some time to Cooper and Mwananchi. The Aceman will definitely have a 54.2 kWh battery, which is also already in the Cooper SE. Of course, he will also adopt the 218 hp electric motor from the hatchback. Below this will be the more common base model with a 40.7 kWh battery and a 184 hp engine from the Cooper E. But Mini still has to confirm all this ‘officially’.The Electric Mini Aceman sits between the Cooper and Countryman 04
