Subaru Crosstrek (2022): Price and Engine

Subaru Crosstrek (2022): Price and Engine

The Subaru XV facelift will go on sale in 2023 as the Subaru Crosstrek. As usual, power comes from a 2.0 liter boxer engine, but the design, interior and support systems have been completely updated. Subaru has yet to reveal pricing.

To make the long-awaited Subaru XV facelift recognizable by name, the compact crossover will be called the Subaru Crosstrek worldwide from market launch. This will take place in Japan during 2023, and later here as well. Visually, the successor to the XV remains faithful to itself: although the radiator grille is larger, has a honeycomb design and is led by thinner LED lights – and LED corner lights for the first time – little has changed in the basic shape of the body. Attractive wheel panels, topped with new 18-inch alloy wheels, and the soft rear remain. Subaru Crosstrek (2023) can be seen in press photos in two new colors Offshore Blue Metallic and Oasis Blue. The 11.6-inch infotainment display is now placed higher in the interior and should better integrate smartphones. Also interesting: Tips for our products on Amazon

Like the XV, the Subaru Crosstrek (2023) is based on the Subaru International Platform, but the suspension, like the body, is now more complex. Along with the reduced weight of the car, Subaru promises better handling, especially since the new electric power steering with linear steering torque and differential translation should implement steering commands almost without delay. The newly designed seats are now attached directly to the body, which should reduce body roll. According to Subaru, better noise and vibration insulation also contribute to greater comfort. Power comes from a 2.0 liter boxer and e-Boxer hybrid system and is transferred to the road through all four wheels. Improved pedestrian protection and revised support systems complete the comprehensive design update. The automaker has yet to release the price of the Subaru Crosstrek (2023). The previous XV, which is still available, is currently available in configuration from 26,440 euros (until September 2022).
