Subaru Forester with electric support
For the Förster car to be green, the combustion engine has to be supported by an electric motor and work as a hybrid. Subaru has yet to make an official announcement about this, but the Forester has been traveling as a hybrid in Europe for some time.
What’s new is ten percent more stiffness for better driving behavior and more safety. There’s also an updated version of the Subaru EyeSight system as standard, which detects pedestrians and cyclists better.
The compact design of the off-road vehicle is reminiscent of existing products. The doors and tailgate impress with wider and more angular openings. This helps when checking in and out. Modern: a shiny black strip between the rear lights. The rear air vents are intended to reduce front lift.
An eye-catcher in the cockpit is the 11.6-inch vertical touchscreen with wireless smartphone mirroring. The dashboard mounted on top, which is typical of the Forester, is very popular. The armrests and front knee pads are attractive with soft-touch plastics.
Subaru Forester: more cargo space
But the most important thing: the new Subaru Forester has the largest cargo space this model has ever had: 838 liters with the seats up and 2,107 liters with the seats folded down. To be able to use the trunk properly, there are various screw points for the equipment.
The model presented now will come to the market in the USA in the spring of 2024. When it will make its way across the pond to Europe is still unknown – as is the price.
