Who wants to buy Ken Block’s Subaru Impreza from the X Games?

More than a year after Ken Block’s death, one of his cars, the Subaru Impreza used in the X Games, is up for sale.

Ken Block’s cars are legendary. Sadly, they are even more so since a famous pilot died in a snowmobile accident.

If you are looking to own a piece of Rally history, this could be your chance. Indeed, the auction site Bring the Trailer is currently selling the rally car driven by Ken Block during the X Games mid 2000s.

It’s an Impreza 2.5 RS from 2004. Under the hood, we find 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-4 that sends power to all four wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox.

To help matters, there’s also a driver-controlled center differential and Cuso differentials front and rear.

Obviously, there are other improvements: Öhlins suspension system, MoTeC mapping, roll bar, 15 inch speed wheels and many other changes. In short, everything you need to prepare for a public meeting.

Subaru and its history

Vermont SportsCar finished building this Subaru in 2006. Block and co-driver Alex Gelsomino raced the car. at the first ever X Games event in 2006.

They got third place in the general classification. The pair returned with the same car in 2007. This time they managed second place in the general classification. In 2009 the car was sold to rally driver Mark Fox.

The Impreza sports Block and Travis Pastrana’s signature interior, and comes with a construction booklet bearing Gelsomino’s signature. It’s currently covered in black, a little different from the original X Games setup. But that doesn’t take away from its story.

Good business?

Those planning to drive this Subaru instead of putting it in a museum should know that it currently has an Oregon registration certificate. The front spoiler is cracked and there are many defects in the bodywork. Not the princess of the garage … This car really has a lot of experience!

This Impreza is currently up for auction Bring the Trailer and an offer reaching 46,000 dollars. But there are still nine days left at the time of writing. We suspect the price will go up a lot before the auction ends, but that… only time will tell!
