The seating position is only half as high (25 cm above the floor of the car), but the ground clearance is the same Forester: 22 cm – that means it can find stones the size of a shoe box. Subaru has addressed two points of criticism about the XV: The seats now offer better support in the shoulder area, and there is also lumbar support. Even the back does not sit too low and the backrest is not too high. But above all: it is quieter inside. The remaining effect of the rubber band of the CVT transmission – the engine returns a lot during hard acceleration, and the increase in speed is only delayed – is acoustically less visible.
