Under the hood, another big change as the 5.6-liter V8 is replaced by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 450 horsepower and 515 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission is mated to it, and all-wheel drive without doubt is standard.

Infiniti promises us an energy-efficient unit, but we shouldn’t expect miracles. This animal is not fast. It will have a towing capacity of 8,500 pounds, however, which satisfies a need among certain customers.

If, despite the new design, we still recognize the QX80 at first glance, we cannot say the same about the interior. There, we do not find any memory and example of the old generation. The presentation is dominated by the screen, whether in front of the driver, on the central console of the multimedia system and climate controls, or at the back where passengers have a face that gives them access to a number of settings.

Regarding the luggage space, even if the correct data has not yet been published, it is mentioned that the volume is 18% more behind the second row, while it is 30% more generous behind the third.
