Dan Fallows is the new technical director of Aston Martin F1. He arrived last year in the team, when it was playing its second season under the identity of the English brand, he explains why he left Red Bull and what challenge awaited him in Silverstone, even if his new team was not a completely new structure.
“Well, I’m never satisfied” Fallows said of his freshman record. “So I wouldn’t say I kept my word, but unfortunately that’s part of the game. One of the things that made me happy to join the team is to join a different environment.”
“It’s a young organization with a long history, with different goals than before, it was a lot of fun. I was looking for a challenge and this is one, but I think the fact that everyone is there. Taking that challenge and using it to move forward is what’s fun. very much.”
The engineer admits that it is a big challenge, but not necessarily harder than he expected: “In some ways it’s more difficult. In some ways, the quality, experience and technical skills of the people here have made some aspects easier than I thought.”
