On Tuesday (October 26) around 4:20 pm there was a traffic accident on the B299 between Tacherting and Trostberg.
Tacherting – The 20-year-old who caused the accident drove his BMW with his 22-year-old partner towards Trostberg. According to the first findings of the Trostberg police he deliberately slowed down at the crossing level and then accelerated. Due to the high speed, the rear of the car lost control and after a short movement of the steering wheel. there was a collision with another person who was driving in the opposite direction of his VW.
Everyone involved in the accident suffered minor injuries in the collision. The vehicle that caused the accident was a total loss. The opponent’s car in the accident was badly damaged in the front. Criminal cases of causing bodily harm by negligence have now been initiated against the person who caused the accident. The Trostberg police investigation is not yet complete. The volunteer fire brigade of Oberfeldkirchen and Tacherting deployed several vehicles, ensured fire protection and traffic control. Two ambulances and an emergency rescue helicopter crew were dispatched to treat the injured. The highway was completely closed for the duration of the accident.
