Patrick Gourvennec replaces Pierre Guignot as president in France of Mitsubishi Motors, Subaru and TVS Motor


After a career dedicated to cars, Patrick Gourvennec announces his retirement. He will be replaced by Pierre Guignot who becomes the general manager of the import operations of the Emil Frey group in France. In this capacity, the latter became president, in France, of Mitsubishi Motors, Subaru and TVS Motor.

Pierre Guignot is leaving his position as divisional director of Honda France to join the general management of the group’s import operations Emil Frey France. He takes over in this position Patrick Gourvennec who claims his right to retire.

At the age of 43, Pierre Guignot began his career within the Volkswagen Group France, first with Audi, then with the group’s five brands.

Pierre Guignot becomes managing director of import operations for the Emil Frey group in France.

Pierre Guignot joined the Honda brand in 2007. He held several positions in France and joined the European headquarters in London in 2013 to take care of the French, German, Spanish and Portuguese markets. Since February 2017, he has been the director of the French brand.

Taking over the overall management of the import operations of the Emil Frey France group, he became the French president of the Mitsubishi Motors, Subaru and TVS Motor brands, which soon joined the brand’s expansion group in the motorcycle market.

Patrick Gourvennec, for his part, ends his professional career that began in 1985 in the Fiat group, where he held various positions after sales both domestically and nationally. In 1992, he joined Sonauto during the launch of the Hyundai brand in France.

Between 1996 and 1998, he held the positions of manager after sales of Hyundai, then director of sales for all products imported by Sonauto, including Mitsubishi.

In 1998, he took charge of the Hyundai brand in France, which became part of the Frey group in 1999.

After two years at the head of Alfa Romeo France between 2006 and 2008, Patrick Gourvennec returned to Hyundai Motor France as general manager, a position he will hold until the end of 2013.

In 2014, he became European project and development manager for the Emil Frey group, before joining 1it is July 2016 Mitsubishi Motors Automobiles France as president.
