The Aspar team will compete in the 2025 Moto3 World Championship with two new riders. In addition to the veteran Dennis Foggia, the Spanish team has found a promising talent in Maximo Quiles.
After winning the world title with David Alonso and the Colombian’s promotion to the Moto2 squad, the Aspar team will compete in the 2025 Moto3 World Championship with two new riders. One of them is Dennis Foggia. The 23-year-old is one of the veterans in the junior class paddock. In six years he won a total of ten races. In 2021, the Italian won second place in the world championship, and in 2022 he finished third in the overall standings, Foggia successfully promoted to the Moto2 class. In his two years in the intermediate division of the motorcycle world championship, he never put his foot on the ground. In 2023 Foggia finished 19th in the World Cup, in 2024 it was only 24th.
Jorge Martinez’s teammate will be rookie Maximo Quiles. The 16-year-old Spaniard finished the 2024 season in third place in the JuniorGP class. The promising young talent finished fifth overall in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. In 2023 Quiles won the European Talent Cup title.
At a test in Jerez in November, Quiles had the first opportunity to get to know his new team and do the first laps on the CFMOTO Moto3 bike. He made a strong impression in Andalusia, finishing third on the time table on both days. He was also faster than his experienced team-mate Foggia on both occasions. “It was a very good test and I learned a lot with the new CFMOTO. I am very happy with the team; “They are working very well and we have improved a lot,” he said after his first two days as a Moto3 rider. “I feel good with the bike, even if I don’t have it yet a little courage. I feel like the adjustment is going well and I’m just excited to get started.”
Jorge Martinez is confident in the young man’s abilities. Quiles undoubtedly has the talent to go far in the motorcycle world championship. The main thing in his rookie season will be for him to get used to the team and the bike. To do so, he must find his way in a highly competitive class. Foggia has plenty of experience in Moto3, it remains to be seen if he can build on his early success from two years ago.
