BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – An investigation in Bollinger County led to the arrest of a registered sex offender.
According to the sheriff’s office, law enforcement officials began investigating Bradley Wyss on Friday, April 5 for violating his sex offender registry.
Wyss is a resident of Bollinger Co. and is required to register as a sex offender due to a prior conviction for a sex offense outside the state of Wisconsin.
Prior to this investigation, Wyss had been convicted of failing to register as a sex offender five separate times over a ten-year period, all of which were felonies. Of those convictions, Wyss was previously arrested by the Bollinger Co. Sheriff’s Office. and charged with failure to register as a sex offender third offense in May 2023.
Following that arrest, Wyss pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in December 2023. As a result of this plea deal, Wyss was released from prison and served seven months of probation.
Shortly after the investigation began, a detective with the sheriff’s office saw Wyss driving a vehicle that was not registered on his sex offender registry as required by law. The detective then conducted a traffic stop, and Wyss was taken into custody.
Following his arrest, a felony warrant was issued for failure to register as a sex offender third offense. His bond was set at $25,000 cash only. Wyss remains in custody at the Bollinger Co. jail.
