Sony already has two prototypes of its own EV

Design and materials are still unknown

According to a news agency report Reuters Sony Honda Mobility is also considering starting in Europe, but there are said to be no concrete plans yet. So we should be prepared for the fact that the first model planned by SHM in this country will be a long time coming. The partners are still keeping a low profile when it comes to the design and equipment of their first electric car.

At this time, however, the two manufacturers are focusing on higher price levels with the car, as there is talk of a “higher price range”. Honda will initially build the new electric car in the US, while Sony will develop the car’s software and sensors. According to SMH, initially it only wants to develop a Level 3 Autonomous Driving System, so the car should be able to drive itself in certain situations.

It is said that SMH wants to offer a monthly car subscription, giving customers the ability to access entertainment content and various other services. In this way, the company would generate constant revenue, while also targeting new forms of in-car entertainment, including virtual and augmented reality concepts.

According to SMH boss Yasuhide Mizuno, Sony-Honda’s car development should be pushed forward as soon as possible, as the company believes that the year 2025 will bring a shift towards electric cars. Sony has already presented several concept cars.
