Audi S8 build? There’s nothing here that I wouldn’t know from a recent test of the A8. The seats, although sporty in style, are finished with red accents. However, it is still contoured. This means that the driver can choose, for example, the level of “strengthening” of the side braces. And keeping digital aside, but with a human face, I emphasized two other things here. Second head and Alcantara door trim. It’s nice to the touch, a nod to the luxury that can be expected from the F segment, and it’s also about the sporty character of this car. Sports, because although we are talking about a luxury limousine, the letter S appearing in the name is no joke. This is a perfect member of the Audi sports family.

In the RS3, after pressing the gas pedal with a second delay, the driver feels an explosion. It’s kind of a race over mine. In the S8, the second delay still shows and the power is still very audible. His growth happens with little drama. Here the car is pushed hard and boldly. And of course, with the same decision, maybe up to a high speed. The rate limit is only identified by the limit.

It’s hard to explain. But the driver in the RS3 feels a blow to his back when he presses the gas pedal. Here he has a strong but firm opinion. He knows he is dealing with a force that is hard to stop.

And this functionality is not available only at the beginning. The magic of the 4-liter V-8 is that no matter how much you depress the accelerator pedal, the power will come immediately and car it moves forward as enthusiastically as it does during ascension.

Combustion? What to burn? I didn’t notice anything while driving the Audi S8

In fact, 4 liters, V8, 577 horses and sports performance do not sound bad. And that is certainly true. In the test, the car used an average of 16 liters of petrol. And I still have the opinion that the estimate of the computer on board was cautious … 16 liters is a lot. Only in such a car would he take it. Under the influence of the performance and the gurgling bass of the V-eight, the driver quickly forgets about the on-board computer.

After all, the output was also only one liter higher than the 450 hp Audi A8 L.

The Audi S8 test had two similar solutions to the recently tested A8 L. It produced LED lights, each containing 1.3 million microscopic mirrors. The effect? Perhaps the suspension is as wise as Stephen Hawking. He probably thinks faster than the computers installed on Microsoft’s servers. Unfortunately, physics does not lie. A 2.3 ton object over 5 meters long cannot and does not like bends. Strong bends to overcome are made difficult by the measurements and the body depends on it. And the icing on the cake is the understeer limit. Only at this point should one understand. This is not a list of complaints. Rather it is a matter of some understanding of the purpose of this car.

The Audi S8 was not born to be a track beast. This role is played by RS3 or R8. The S8 should be a cruiser. Strong, very fast, but still good. It’s just “connecting” asphalt for a long distance. It’s a bit like the RS Q8 that I tested before. The Audi S8 is a short-distance champion. He won the gold medal in this category. However, it is not very good at running with obstacles. But that still does not remove my sympathy.

How much is the new Audi S8?

The Audi S8 is an example of that kind … it stops fast. He has very good roots, but he also wants to be a full-blooded athlete. The limousine, however, weighs 2.3 tons. And even though it’s heavy, the S8 doesn’t turn into fat. He is not heavy, but he is more of a bodybuilder. But one that focuses not only on muscle mass, but also on joint mobility. That’s why he doesn’t like it very much when he does divisions with great grace. And although according to his physiognomy he has no right to do it, this is very good for him.

So, I won’t criticize the S8 for some sloppiness in the bend. Because despite everything, with the power and gurgling of the V-eight, I even liked it. And all because S8 is very real in all this creation. It just had to be. To paraphrase a well-known song, he is neither Rysio Ochódzki, nor Kuba Wojewódzki. It’s him and only him. So, let’s love the S8 while it lasts and until it’s electric…
