Porsche Cayenne GTS: Not the most powerful, but the most expensive

If you want to show off the power of your new Porsche SUV, then you should go for more power, right? It is not correct. True enthusiasts know that it is better to wait until Porsche comes with the new Cayenne GTS. The V8 engine returned with the last generation and hopefully will remain for 2024. Hopefully this will make it, like its GTS predecessor, perhaps the best Cayenne in the range. That’s why it’s no surprise that this is the most expensive Cayenne in the range.

The new Gran Turismo game should do this, among other things, thanks to a special chassis. It’s basically the same suspension as the Turbo GT, but 10 millimeters closer to the ground. Adaptive air suspension, active suspension and Torque Vectoring Plus are included in the standard package. All in all, the suspension is designed for optimal road performance, according to Porsche. We’re curious if the new GTS performs better than the previous generation.

Details of the new Porsche Cayenne GTS

In front there is (fortunately) still 4.0-liter biturbo V8 which has now been 40 hp and 40 Nm power. This produces a power of 500 hp and 660 Nm of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission has been improved and should respond more quickly in Sport and Sport Plus models. Cayenne goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and the top speed is 275 km/h.

This means that the GTS has to make up more ground compared to the more powerful Cayenne, the Turbo E-Hybrid. The eight-cylinder produces 599 hp and the electric motor helps the total power up to 739 hp. The fastest running Cayenne is the Turbo GT without the hybrid stuff. It goes from standstill to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds.

How can I distinguish the new GTS from other Cayennes?

Red color is a good tip, but not all customers will choose it. Specific to the GTS are the headlights and taillights and only the GTS gets red brake calipers. There is also a large air intake in the front bumper and the exhaust is dark bronze. You can put the last pieces of that smoke in the middle for an extra charge. The wheels may seem familiar: the 21-inch ones have the same design as those on the 718 RS Spyder.

The interior of the new Porsche Cayenne GTS

Porsche’s favorite Race-Tex fabric is heavily represented in the Cayenne GTS. The
the headrest, armrests, door panels and (partial) sports seats are covered by the material. The side bolsters of the seats are slightly raised for more support in curves. There’s also the now familiar curved driver’s display and an optional co-driver’s screen. Music comes to you through a surround-sound system from Bose and there is a panel roof on board as standard.

How much does the most expensive Porsche Cayenne cost in the Netherlands?
