As for the powertrain, the current Qashqai has the E-Power Package, a configuration that can be stored. This system has an electric motor that develops a power of 190 horsepower and a torque of 330 Nm. It is powered by a three-cylinder petrol engine. The genius of this system lies in its ability to charge a 2 kWh battery, thus saving valuable energy. This battery allows the gasoline engine to turn off and on as needed, without being directly connected to the wheels. At this stage, the Japanese manufacturer has not yet revealed information about the exact engine of the next model of its SUV. So fans of the brand will have to be patient until the official unveiling scheduled for April 17. It is on this date that all the details, including those related to power, will finally be revealed.
It is also worth noting that Nissan previously confirmed the arrival of a fully electric version of its SUV. This version, described as “green”, will be based on a special architecture designed for electric vehicles. However, we will have to wait until next year before we see it hit the market. So patience is needed for those thinking of switching to an eco-friendly option.
