The Audi A6 E-tron will no doubt also like the Avant

With the concept of the A6 E-tron, Audi showed off the next generation A6 fully clothed and although it will take until 2023 before the five-door rear door comes on the market, the German car manufacturer is also presenting the Avant variant. This model is also 95% ready for production.

For Avant, Audi explains logically about the A6 E-tron, but the architectural department has certainly not developed its predictable design. The chrome trim on the doors immediately attracts the eye, because it flows smoothly into the background damage. Also striking is the thick D column, which is also mounted at an angle to add extra dynamics to the design. Compared to the fast recovery variant, the Avant is not shorter or longer than an inch. The tape measure reaches up to 4.96 meters in length. Width and height are 1.96 meters and 1.44 meters respectively, which is the same for all body shapes.

There is no end to the gasoline versions

The design department was able to work differently on the designs of A6 scions. The A6 E-tron is, as its name implies, an electrically operated model. Combustion engines will not be available for it, which means a different design technique. Although the car has a single-frame grille, the closed panel covers safety and comfort-enhancing systems. It is painted in a body color so that it does not appear immediately, but the shape in a different color ensures that there is a family surface. In the middle of the front, the highlighted mark stands, something that is 5% of cases that do not return to the last model. Light units are also interesting. Audi shows that it has never used those small lights in the model series before.

Mirrors or cameras

In profiles, columns A and D dominate. The focus is on those pillars because the B and C columns are covered with glass sections. Typically, the new A6 also has glazed wheel arches, a common design feature of today’s Audis to emphasize the concept of four-wheel drive. In the study model, the manufacturer replaces the rear cameras with standard mirrors and glass. Audi will offer a glass of glass as a standard in the production format, as the camera system is not valid everywhere.

PPE Platform

The technical base is created by Premium Platform Electric. Audi currently does not use the lower part – the E-tron GT is on the J1 platform – but the brand will launch it later this year under Q6. The A6 comes a few months later, as a fast back and Avant player. The architecture consists of a battery centered with an electric motor on the rear axle or one per axle. In the A6 E-tron, the combined power sources provide 350 kW of power and generate 800 Nm of torque. For a full battery, the A6 should have a capacity of up to 700 kilometers, in part due to a 100 kWh battery capacity. DC charging is possible with a maximum of 350 kW.
