Tesla: new price cuts in China and the USA

The Tesla once again reviews the US and Chinese price lists, with a wide range of discounts and even Self Driving. In particular, prices have been reduced by 2 thousand dollars in the United States and China, the two main markets of the Texan company. The move can be attributed to two needs: on the one hand, to remove the increasing inventory of America due to the decrease in sales (in the first quarter the company recorded the first drop in shipments in the last 4 years), on the other, to face the greater competition in the country of Asia (in the fourth quarter of 2023 the market share fell below 10%).

Supply reduced. Let’s start from the United States: the basic version of the Model Y starts from 42,990 dollars and the long-range and performance variants, respectively, from 47,990 and 51,490. Model S costs 72,990 and Plaid 87,990, while for Model Tesla it did not stop there because it also worked on other aspects of its commercial offer, reducing the cost of the Full Self-Driving package from 12 thousand to 8 thousand dollars (in Canada, then, it was reduced from 16 thousand Canadian dollars to 11 thousand). In this case, the county is following a decision announced two weeks ago to cut FSD’s subscription service in half to $99 a month. In China, the price of Model 3 dropped from 245,900 yuan to 231,900 yuan and that of Model Y from 263,900 to 249,900 yuan. Now, we will have to see if a similar decision has been made for the European market. In this regard, Tesla itself has announced on Tesla, refer other customers and continue to buy other products.
