The Cupra Formentor VZ5 passes through the hands of Manhart

If you want to improve the style of your Formentor with Manhart, you have missed it. On the other hand, if you want your crossover to develop around 500 hp, you’ve come to the right place.

Manhart is a German car tuner that mods models for several brands, from Alfa Romeo to Bentley, including Jeep and Lamborghini. The new preparation concerns the Spanish brand Cupra, which has been offering the powerful Formentor VZ5 in its catalog for several months, powered by the five-cylinder engine found under the hoods of Audi Sport: RS 3, TT RS, RS Q3, etc.

Alas, the aesthetic changes are few and far between. Currently, the tuner has only modified the rims (Concave One 20″), added color in its colors and reduced the body work by a few millimeters using H&R springs. So the Cupra Formentor VZ5 by Manhart retains its original appearance, apart from exhaust pipes that are more similar to those of Audi Sport.

On the other hand, under the hood, Manhart didn’t do things by halves. This is also the whole point of this preparation: increasing the power of the crossover. Therefore, due to various improvements, the power of the 2.5 liter engine increases from 390 hp and 480 Nm to 490 hp and 630 Nm of torque.

The increase in engine power was possible thanks to the MHtronik box as well as the exhaust line that produces a better sound, promises Manhart. Doesn’t that sound like enough? No problem, Manhart promises to return with a new version. It shouldn’t take long to figure it out.

As a reminder, in France, the Cupra Formentor VZ5 is available from €59,990, excluding penalties.
