So there will be a new electric car in 2025 and the Polestar 6 will be on the agenda in 2026. They have already revealed that it will be something like an electric 911. Now Thomas Ingenlath has confirmed that we will see the Polestar 7 in 2027.

The Polestar 7 will replace the Polestar 2

However, the Polestar 7 will not be a completely new electric car in the range, it is the successor of the Polestar 2. Polestar gave it new technology and facelift last year there will be no new Polestar 2.

It’s entirely possible that the Polestar 2 will be updated again by 2027, but the Polestar 7 is a new car. However, the aim is to attract customers who now love the Polestar 2. So why not just the new Polestar 2?

The Polestar boss is not convinced by the VW Golf concept, something like that is said to be a stumbling block. The Polestar 7 is intended to appeal to customers who love the Polestar 2, but the new number also brings more freedom.

Polestar still did not want to reveal what this looks like and what it means. But finally there is a fully electric platform, which was not yet ready for the Polestar 2. Perhaps it will be the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA).

Polestar remains the number one brand

Unfortunately, reports that Polestar is doing poorly and that Volvo has stopped by a few percentage points are exaggerated, says Thomas Ingenlath. It is always a plan that Volvo will reduce this large stake in Polestar at some point.

Polestar also has no intention of attacking BYD or Tesla, the brand wants to remain the first brand. I suspect that the Polestar 7 will stand out a bit more from the Tesla Model 3, the two are very similar.
