A while ago we were introduced to the Ram 1500 BEV: the concept version of the brand’s first electric pickup. The production version is called the Ram 1500 REV, but unfortunately you can’t use it. Rev. However, the electric pick-up is old fashioned, because the US is not very economical with its kWh. See how it fares against its main competitor, the Ford F-150 Electric, below.
Ram offers two large battery packs. The 168-kWh battery gives a range of 563 km. The larger 229-kWh pack will take you 805 km. So a heavy pick-up is not very useful, because the Mercedes EQS, for example, can travel 700+ km with a 120- kWh. The electric F-150 with the 131-kWh pack also travels 515 kilometers.
Specifications of Ram 1500 REV
In terms of torque, the Ram has to lose. The two electric motors of the electric pick-up produce 663 hp and 840 Nm. The sprint from 0 to 96 km/h takes place in 4.4 seconds, which is 0.1 second faster than the F-150 Lightning. Ford pick-up has an output of 587 hp, but also 1,050 Nm of torque. Speaking of towing, the Ram 1500 REV can tow up to 6,350 pounds, which is nearly two tons more than the F-150 Electric.
In addition, you can fill the Ram 1500 REV with 1,225 kg of stuff. You can go ahead honest Lost 425 liters of cargo. That space alone is bigger than a Golf trunk. Additionally, several screens are selected in the cabinet instead of one central screen. The co-driver also has a screen, just like the latest Ferraris. Stellantis umbrella organization does not reveal the cost of Ram 1500 REV. They have also not yet told you in which countries the electric pick-up is offered.
