The video was shot 14 years ago. Although at first it appeared to be an accident, the driver has now been found guilty of insurance fraud. He deliberately drove the hypercar into the water. The man has served his nine-month prison sentence.

Now the Bugatti Veyron from the viral video is getting a second life. Houston Crosta of Royalty Exotic Cars purchased the car in 2021. Nothing has been done to the car in the meantime.
