Rotterdam – With the initiative of Modelcars Rotterdam and in close collaboration with two enthusiastic, retired Rotterdam police officers, Bram Verhoeff and Jose Michels, the second, the new Chevrolet C10 has now appeared as a Rotterdam police car in a scale of 1:43 . The first was published in the 1990s and sold out in a short time.

The new C10 model has been a feast for the eyes, equipped with all the bells and whistles. The Dutch company Matrix is responsible for Chevrolet. Bram Verhoeff and Jose Michels have put heart and soul into it, every detail is rich and true. Take, for example, the aluminum plates on each side of the roof, which were used to mount the brackets so that the speakers could be mounted when the Chevrolet had to be used as an audio car.

The interior of the C10 is equipped with wooden benches to transport prisoners and between the front seats there is a console, which can be used to set up the audio system and for useful tools. Matrix has installed a stop sign at the rear of the vehicle and on the right side of the dashboard. A good detail is that the C10 was produced as a car at the time with white rings on the tires. The then chief commissioner thought that was too much of a luxury and the tires had to be rotated on the rims before being allowed to take the car on the road.

Bram and Jose are the founders of the C10 foundation and through this foundation they manage several historic police cars, including the only original Chevrolet C10. The car is still regularly seen at events and still attracts a lot of attention, not only from older Rotterdammers, but also from many other car enthusiasts.

The new C10 in miniature is available at Modelcars in Bergschenhoek.
