Lamborghini Huracan STJ: done with the naturally aspirated V10

Lamborghini is celebrating the sad end of the long-awaited 5.2-liter V10 by presenting a very limited series, the Huracan STJ (STJ: for Super Trofeo Jota). Therefore, only 10 examples of the Lamborghini Huracan STJ will be assembled and not one more, knowing that this Huracan STJ is the latest evolution of the 640 hp Huracan STO.

After Audi, which ended the sale of the R8, with the small series Audi R8 V10 GT RWD of 620 hp, it is therefore Lamborghini’s turn to “say goodbye” to the standard 5.2 l V10. Based on the Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologata), the Huracan STJ benefits from certain aerodynamic developments, with the presence of fins on the front fender curves and a modified rear wing.

Technically, there are almost no changes between the Huracan STO and the Huracan STJ, that is, the Huracan STO, which was presented at the end of 2020, can be considered as an example of competition modified to adapt to the road. The Lamborghini Huracan STJ has the latest generation four-way adjustable shock absorbers and Bridgestone Potenza Race rubber mounted on 20-inch rims.

Let’s come to the expected 5.2 liter V10 that works under the rear hood of the Huracan Super Trofeo Jota with 640 hp (at 8,000 rpm) and 565 Nm of torque (at 6,500 rpm). Power is sent to the rear wheels only through an LDF gearbox (7 speed).

Finally, the end of the usual 5.2 l expected V10 for Lamborghini means the arrival of a supercharged V8 near Sant’Agata Bolognese, while the Huracan will be replaced in the coming months by a new super sports car that, according to some. Rumors, it may bear the name “Temerario”.
