The Ford Bronco is coming to the Netherlands, but you’re not going to buy it

The market for classic American SUVs is not that big in the Netherlands. So it’s surprising that Ford has decided to bring the Bronco here. In the United States it is already available from 32,000 euros. Here Ford Bronco will be more expensive.

Two versions of the Ford Bronco are coming to the Netherlands: Outer Banks and Badlands. Both are powered by a 2.7-liter V6 with an output of 335 hp and 563 Nm of torque.

Ford Bronco will suffer from BPM

It is that power source that is the biggest problem for us. Ford has yet to announce starting prices for the Bronco, but given the twin-turbo six-cylinder’s high CO2 emissions, the BPM fine will be significant.

Ford also has the American Explorer in the price list here. Although it has a 3.0-liter V6, it is helped in the BPM area by the fact that it has plug-in hybrid technology under the hood.

More of an all-terrain vehicle than an SUV

Anyway, back to the Bronco, which is more of an all-terrain vehicle than an SUV. It has four-wheel drive with upper and lower rows, removable doors, a removable hardtop and an interior that is easy to clean with a hose.

The new Bronco comes standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. Like the Badlands, the Bronco also has anti-roll bars that slide slightly for maximum front-wheel travel.

The Ford Bronco featured off-road trails

Road driving is very popular in the United States. They also have a lot of ‘ground’. In the Netherlands, however, you’ll have little use for the Bronco’s tough character, with its many off-road options, such as a skid plate, underbody protection panels and rock rails.

Ford equips its large SUV with a variety of smart systems, such as Trail Turn Assist, which breaks the inner brake of the rear wheel for the smallest turning circle, and Trail Control, an off-road cruise control system. Seven driving modes are available.

In the interior you will find an 8-inch digital cockpit and a 12-inch multimedia screen. The second system runs Ford’s SYNC 4 system, which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. There’s also the ever-present B&O Premium Sound System.

Bronco to Holland in the second quarter

Ford Bronco will come to the Netherlands in the second quarter of this year. The prices will be announced later, but you can count on them not to be tender.
