The new generation of Hyundai Azera created a lot to talk about when it was launched. After all, the sedan, which is sold in South Korea as the Grandeur, got a very futuristic look that broke with the traditional lines of other generations. But the Korean market has another feature, and a special edition that makes the car look like an example from the Star Wars movies.
Called Calligraphy Ink Black, the edition bets on the car’s black appearance. As a result, the entire bodywork, grille, lamp frame, trims and wheels become dark. Add these details to the style of the light signature, which is made by a small bar in the front and back, and the result is a car that resembles the famous character Darth Vader.
In addition to the bodywork, this version of the Azera leaves the interior black, to maintain the theme of the exterior. However, those who don’t like this monochromatic look can choose between the Premium and Exclusive versions, which offer other color options and more standard interiors.
Launched in October 2022 in South Korea, the new generation of the sedan did not have many details revealed in its debut. However, now this information has already been released. The new Azera is 5.03 m long, 1.88 m wide and 2.89 m wheelbase, which should provide good interior space.
In total, there are three engines available. The smallest of them is the 2.5 with 197 hp and 26.3 kgfm of torque, with front-wheel drive only. For those who want to drive all wheels, you must choose the 3.5 V6 engine with 300 hp and 36.6 kgfm of torque. There is also a version of the 3.5 engine powered by LPG, but only with front wheel drive and less power, with 240 hp and 32 kgfm of torque.
