Maserati MSG Racing announces the arrival of Jehan Daruvala and the return of Maximilian Günther for the 10th season of the FIA Formula E World Championship.
Together, Max and Jehan form one of the best young racing duos in Formula E. The team combines racing experience with opportunities to focus on the next generation of motorsport talent.
With the addition of a new race in Tokyo, Season 10 will be the longest race in the series to date. Maserati will continue its participation in Formula E after the manufacturer returns to the electric monoposto world championship in 2022.
Although Jehan Darivala is a new face, he is very familiar with Formula E. After two test matches as a qualifier in 2023, he is ready to take the permanent seat in season 10. After his success in the 2019 season, where he became one of the most important defending champions further into FIA Formula 3, Jehan was able to move on to Formula 2 in 2020, the entry-level class to Formula 1.
With four race wins and 18 podium finishes in Formula 2, the 24-year-old has built an impressive record as one of the most competitive drivers in the series. The driver can give his opinion after the start of pre-season testing in October.
Since becoming the youngest winner of a Formula E race in what was his 13th E-Prix start, Max has been a promising driver for success and remains one of the most promising young talents in the series. Although only 26 years old, Max is one of the most experienced drivers on the current Formula E grid and had a great debut season with Maserati MSG Racing in 2023. With two pole positions, four podiums and the first of the Maserati brand in the monoposto world championship since Juan Manuel Fangio in 1957, Max not only completed his most successful season in Formula E to date, but also once again made history for the brand. Season 10 sees the German begin his sixth season at the world championships, hoping to reach new heights by building on previous success.
Max and Jehan continue their preparations for the 2023/2024 season during pre-season testing at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia from October 23-27.

James Rossiter, Maserati MSG Racing team principal
“We are excited about our driver line-up for Season 10 and are confident that the combination of Max’s experience and Jehan’s determination will prove to be a competitive combination. Max impressed us in the 2022/2023 season and it was a logical decision for us to continue our partnership. He impressive pace, good knowledge of the Gen3 Formula E package and with five seasons’ experience, despite only being 26 years old, he has impressive skills to offer. That experience will be invaluable for Jehan, who showed promise in his two tests for the Mahindra team earlier this year. Over the past four years in Formula 2, he has shown his drive and ambition and has clearly shown that he has what it takes to win races. Now Jehan is ready to succeed in Formula E. In Season in 9 we faced highs and lows, but we learned a lot from each situation we faced. After a positive summer, we are looking forward to starting again in Season 10 and with two riders we are confident we can compete going forward.”
Maximilian Günther, driver in Maserati MSG Racing
“I am proud to continue with Maserati MSG Racing. We had a great first season together. And I’m thinking especially of the momentum we built in the second half of the year with one win, four podiums and two pole positions. I am really looking forward to continuing on this foundation in 2024 and also working with Jehan as my new colleague. Based on the performance progress this year, I am confident that we can be even more successful in the future.
Jehan Darivala, driver at Maserati MSG Racing
“Formula E is a championship that I have followed with excitement for a long time and after two trials I am very happy to get the chance to climb the permanent seat. My experience so far is that the Gen3 car is very unique to drive, but I found it to be a very rewarding experience. I would like to thank James and Maserati MSG Racing for this opportunity and I can’t wait to learn more about the car and get to know the team better during the pre-season testing before competing in Mexico City in January.”
Giovanni Tommaso Sgro, head of Maserati Corse
“We are happy to welcome Jehan to the Maserati family. Together with Max he forms a talented young duo and we look forward to the new season. Formula E features experienced drivers alongside motorsport’s most promising young talent every year, confirming the series’ role as the class of the future. We are confident that Jehan’s arrival will provide additional impetus to the entire team. He will also provide valuable input from his previous experience as a test driver. For us, Maserati Corse stands for going beyond mere competition, a concept that is perfectly summed up in our slogan ‘more racing’. Continuing our Formula E adventures with a worthy driver like Max and a promising newcomer like Jehan, we approach the new season with the determination and enthusiasm needed to make a difference on the track and hopefully in the new season. sports history.”
