The most expected electric cars between 2023 and 2024

L’offer of electric cars it is constantly increasing, due to institutional decisions and increased demand throughout Europe. Manufacturers are committed to providing legitimate and emotional products, even in high performance.

Many new models are expected between the end of this year and 2024, here are the ones we think are the most interesting.

Abarth 500e

It’s interesting because it’s already causing a lot of discussion, and it’s already divisive. We are talking about the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima, the first electric model of the brand and which comes after the much-loved Fiat 500e, which until now is among the best-selling electric vehicles not only in Italy but throughout Europe.

As always, everything comes from the Fiat model, but the Abarth stands out for a more intense and tamarre beauty, the sound of the engine replaced by a thunderous electric guitar, and better finishes. In terms of performance, the 42 kWh battery is maintained, while the single front electric motor goes from 118 to 155 HP. Initially it will be a limited edition of the 1949 pieces, a tribute to the base year.

Cupra UrbanRebel

It is not yet clear whether the production model will arrive in 2024 or 2025, although we havelet’s wait next year because the racing style, which is already in use, is the right combination of a successful aesthetic, and a lot of fun.

The Cupra UrbanRebel is a small Catalan electric car, whose price in the standard version should remain within €30,000 while still enjoying excellent performance, with one engine of 226 HP and a range of 440 km in the long range version. A road bike loses the seriousness of a sports car, but the aesthetics are still quite appropriate, modern and youthful.

Fiat 600

It should be called Fiat 600 successor of Fiat 500X, compact crossover from Lingotto and its second original electric model, therefore not rebranding other cars as happened with Fiat Ulysse and Doblò.

The basis will be that ofsimilar to the Italian Jeep Avenger, however presents a more rounded beauty. Also on the engine side, there should be one 156 HP engine with a range of 400 km.

Electric Ford Puma

The successor of Fiesta, by preference but not only, is already today Puma, which in the next generation will be electric, according to Ford’s decisions.

We still don’t know anything, either about the aesthetics or the performance, but it will definitely be as interesting as all the electric cars of the American manufacturer that stand out for their good battery performance and good technological quality. It may also be the first electric prototype and the ST version.

Maserati MC20 Folgore

The MC20 with its amazing Nettuno engine, in the coupé and Cielo versions, really makes you dream and is somehow irreplaceable. But Trident has already shown that it can do great things with electricity with the GranTurismo and the Grecale Folgore.

For this reason, the MC20 with battery power, among the first in its electric category, promises to be very attractive, able to compete with the German Audi e-tron GT and the Porsche Taycan, but not only.

MG Cyberster

The MG Cyberster has just debuted in China and we hope it will do the same in Europe, where it could arrive on our continent by the first part of 2024.

It is the first electrical converter, with a a successful design based on a video gamevery elegant and with good freedom.

4 point star

In fact, the real ambition of the Sino-Swedish brand is the Polestar 6, a cabriolet based on the Polestar O2 concept car, but it will not be available before 2026. In Shanghai, however, the company presented its coupé, the Polestar 4, with an interesting design very well finished, with a standard build quality that’s second to none.

4 is accepted as a kind of successor to Polestar 2, which wants to “change” in the role of best seller by filling several shortcomings due to the non-original electric platform of the current sedan: soalways fast setting, but fast charging, updated technology also in terms of safety and better performance.

Renault 5

For 2024, the Lozenge should produce jewels, ready to compete with the Fiat 500 and Mini: Renault 5 return to the electric key, already present as a very interesting concept car.

At the moment we do not know anything, except that the aesthetics will be the same, even if less flashy, and that the autonomy may also be surprising, perhaps reaching or more than 400 km.

Volvo EX30

We finish with another Swede, Volvo EX30the return (finally!) of the Gothenburg manufacturer to the compact segment and which is an important example for the Italian market, which has been suffering from the loss of popular cars like the C30 and V40.

The base will be shared with Smart #1 e Zeekr X, so it will use Geely’s SEA platform with power up to more than 400 HP and around 500 km of range, at an attractive price. We will know more in June 2023.
