The car park in Blokker, where the FIOD raided yesterday, was opened ‘normally’ today. During the raid, four expensive sports cars were taken from the warehouse. A survey of various car companies in West Friesland shows that the cars together are worth about one million euros.

FIOD and fair is Tuesday in the early afternoon they raided a warehouse and a parking lot in Blokker/Oosterblok. According to the FIOD, this happened in the context of a criminal investigation. “We can’t say more about it,” a spokesman added a day later. Police are also referring to ongoing investigations by the FIOD, but confirm that no arrests have been made.

The company that was in the warehouse has been closed for several years. So the building was used as a storage facility, along with cars. The Blokker car park is open ‘normally’ today. “Everyone has reacted in a very different way when they received the news,” says an employee of the company. “But we’re open and we’re very happy with that. We don’t see the need to give more answers.”

‘Mercedes Benz very popular among collectors’

Neighbors and surrounding companies of two car companies on site in Blokker look amazing while yesterday they saw recovery vehicles take four exclusive sports cars – such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes Benz – from the warehouse and take them away. “You don’t see that often here,” laughed an employee of a nearby company. “It surprises you for a moment.”

But what is the (new) value of cars that have been seized? Investigations at several car companies in West Friesland show that the cars together are worth about one million euros.

At around 400,000 euros, the Lamborghini seems more expensive. According to a car dealer from Enkhuizen, it is an Aventador model, the first of which came to the market in 2011. He estimates the value of the Ferrari between 200 and 300 thousand, and also estimates the McLaren to be worth several hundred thousand euros.

For the fourth car, he directs us to StarGallery Enkhuizen, a car company that specializes in Mercedes Benz cars. In response to our questions, Marcel Thomas says that the current value of this type – 280 SL from 1970 – is between 80 and 110 thousand euros. “The highest restored models even exceed two tons,” he explains. This is mainly because there are not many cars of this type running anymore. “They are very popular among collectors,” Thomas said.
