McLaren has unveiled the latest model in its portfolio. The super sports car McLaren 750S is the lightest and at the same time the most powerful car among the mass-produced models of the legendary British brand.
McLaren 750S – very light and very powerful
The McLaren 750S is the lightest and most powerful mass-produced McLaren. The power-to-weight ratio in the first hypercar is an amazing 587 hp per ton (the version with a coupe body, in the version without a roof, i.e. McLaren 750S, this ratio is a little weaker). This makes the new McLaren 750S the world’s best production sports car in this regard. The closest competitor has the worst power-to-weight ratio at 22 hp per ton.

McLaren 750S – V8 and rear wheel drive
McLaren makes no secret of the fact that the new 750S is a model that should take the excellent, sporty character of the famous McLaren 720S model to the highest level. The car has rear wheel drive and power is provided by a V8 engine. The new McLaren 750S features approximately 30% new or significantly improved components over its predecessor, the McLaren 720S.

McLaren 750S – a lot of carbon
Thanks to the changes implemented, the new 750S is stronger, lighter, faster and even more exciting than the 720S model. The carbon fiber monocoque construction is the primary factor responsible for the low weight. The 750S is lighter than the 720S by 30 kg. The dry weight (without driver and without drinks) of this car is only 1277 kg, which is about 193 kg less than the closest competitor.
The carbon fiber top and retractable composite hardtop mean the Spider version is just 49kg heavier than the coupe.

McLaren 750S – interior with character
The high sports character of this car is enhanced after taking a seat in the cabin. The racing seats are covered in carbon fibre, which also contributes to the car’s weight reduction, as well as the lightest wheels ever fitted to a production McLaren. The interior of the new McLaren is more focused on the driver. A new display mounted on the steering column is flanked by rocker switches that control the Active Dynamic settings. What is ActiveDynamic? It’s a McLaren innovation, beyond the “driving modes”, the driver can instantly change the suspension and driving modes without taking their hands off the sports steering wheel.

McLaren 750S – engine, power, performance
The new McLaren is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 4 liter V-8 petrol engine. The maximum power produced by this unit is 750 hp and 800 Nm of torque. All this goes to the rear axle through a 7-speed gearbox, upgraded to the 720S. Performance? It’s interesting. The new McLaren reaches the first 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.8 seconds. 200 km/h is displayed on the counter in just 7.2 seconds (0.1 seconds slower in the Spider version).

McLaren 750S – more technology
The new McLaren 750S supports Apple CarPlay, and in the cockpit there are USB-C and USB-A sockets for fast charging of mobile devices. In terms of cutting-edge technology, McLaren’s new Control Launcher feature allows the driver to save and return to their favorite aerodynamic, handling, powertrain and transmission settings at the touch of a button. The audio experience was also taken care of. An exhaust inspired by the McLaren P1 delivers a new, different crescendo.

McLaren 750S – more agility
The latest generation of McLaren’s hydraulic suspension – the PCC III – debuts on the 750S. New shock absorbers, light springs, changed geometry. All this is to provide the car with greater agility, feel and give the driver full information about the road. McLaren’s electronically assisted steering system has been beefed up, a new power steering pump has been added and the gear ratio has been changed to a shorter one for the direct handling of this bigger car.
