In front of the new Glass, Mercedes-Benz is significantly updating one of its most successful models with many innovations and more standard equipment. The model is also of strategic importance for the Italian market, with more than 27,300 customers since 2014, and a 40% share within the Stella SUV segment.
In terms of exterior design, a new radiator grille with vertical slats and a horizontal fin stands out. The bonnet with a pointed power dome emphasizes the unmistakable playfulness of the lines, while the front bumper, redesigned for less aggressive protection, highlights the Gla’s off-road character.
The bright signature of the High Performance LED headlights and LED taillights have also been revised. Mercedes-Benz is also expanding the range of options with a new Spectral Blue color and other four-wheel drive models.
In entry-level specification, the new Glass rides on 17-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels in gloss black with high-gloss polished surfaces. Wheels from 18 to 20 inches are also available.
The double independent screen is one of the strong points of the significantly updated interior. It now includes a standard 7-inch and 10.25-inch display for the instrument cluster and multimedia screen, respectively. Two 10.25-inch widescreens are available as an option.
The new generation is available in Italy in seven versions, namely Executive, Advanced, Advanced Progressive, Advanced Plus Amg Line, and prices start at 42,257 euros for the Gla 180 Automatic Executive.
A lot of innovation also in the Glb house, a model in which Mercedes-Benz has introduced other innovations, with full standard equipment. The front panel has been redesigned with a lower visual guard that highlights its curved part off the road. The LED headlights and taillights are also new, while the range of options includes four more wheel designs and a new paint color, Spectral Blue Metallic.
One of the highlights of the significantly updated interior is the two independent screens. One 7-inch and one 10.25-inch display are standard for the instrument cluster and multimedia screens respectively, and two 10.25-inch widescreens are available as an option.
