Uitgeest

No forensic investigation is being carried out to determine the cause of the car fire on Vogelmeerweg, on the outskirts of Uitgeest. The reason is that no declaration has (yet) been made by the car owner.

A police spokesman said this at the request. Last week, on the night of Thursday to Friday, a blue Ford Fiesta was completely burnt. Even the windows melted.

Initially, police reported that they were unable to contact the owner of the vehicle. That has now been successful, says a police spokesman. “An agreement has been made that the car owner should remove the accident himself. No report has been filed yet, which means that no further investigation is being conducted into the cause of the fire.”

Change

The police then also announced that they are still treating ‘several incidents’ and that the investigation should provide more clarity on the cause. Because the owner has not submitted a report, the investigation has been cancelled. “If the owner files a declaration, that could still change.”
