The Jaguar XK is now for sale as a used car at a surprisingly low price

A poor Aston Martin sometimes called: Jaguar XK. Only now does that nickname apply, as you can now pick up a beautiful GT as a used car for very little money. Still, it seems disrespectful. The XK itself is a beautiful car that doesn’t necessarily stand in the shadow of Aston Martin.

It is not surprising that there are similarities in the design of both cars. After all, the XK comes from the pen of British designer Ian Callum, who was also on the drawing board of Aston Martin. The quality of the design is evident now how timeless the Jaguar XK is. Unlike its outdated predecessors (XK8), you can still show this GT without any problems.

The power of the 4.2-liter V8 is constant

Under the hood you will always find eight cylinders. At launch, a standard 3.5-liter V8 with 258 hp was the entry-level model, with a 4.2-liter V8 on top producing a clean 300 hp. The last engine block can also be found in the example we are writing today. “It’s not unbelievably quick, but it’s definitely very quick,” said Autovisie when testing the Jaguar.

With that used car you won’t have the top model on your doorstep, which is the XKR. That version is equipped with a supercharger on the 4.2-liter V8. Good for 420 hp, which means that it can give you an unparalleled fast experience. After the facelift, the engine lineup was refined and there was a choice of a 5.0-liter V8, with or without a supercharger.

Jaguar XK als budget-Aston Martin?

Thanks to its timeless design, the British GT looks more expensive than it really is. This wear substance has done its job and now you can pick up a suitable copy from around 17,000 euros as an event. That’s a bit much for one of Ian Callum’s design gems.

Hummer H2: from an attractive status symbol to an affordable used car

By the way, you won’t only find Jaguar XK models with high mileage in the sky. Take it this article from 2007 which is sold in Naarden: 131,000 kilometers per hour and an asking price of 17 grand. That’s even less than the cheapest new car you can buy in the Netherlands. What? Do you want to drive a sports car for less money? Check out this video test drive with two cheap and fun used cars.
