Dacia will introduce a new, more powerful LPG engine. Meet the ECO-G 1.2 120 HP | French.pl

The factory gas installation is a very strong point of the Dacia and Renault product range, and for many people it is the reason to choose these cars. The manufacturer fully understands this and, especially in the face of the invasion of the car industry from China, wants to expand its offer, to be more competitive. It plans to introduce new LPG engines with greater power, based on a new design with a capacity of 1.2 liters, as well as an electric car. The soft mix is ​​intended to be the answer to the requirements of the Euro 7 standard.

The first engine of the new range will be the 1.2 ECO-G with 120 HP. Although we still do not know the technical details, this unit will definitely be the answer to the needs of customers who wanted more power and higher torque in an LPG vehicle. He will be the first to use this drive New Renault Symbioz. This model, also called Grand Captur, focuses on hybrid and LPG.

The new engine will also be available in Dacia models: Dacia Duster 3rd generation, Dacia Bigster and Dacia Jogger will receive it as a complement to the 1.0 ECO-G 100 HP. This is not the end, however, because we can also expect a more powerful version than 120 HP – this is currently being considered and analyzed in terms of the possibility of reaching the standards and the expected power is 140 – 150 HP, which the design of the new 1.2 engine allows freely, a particular challenge here is the emission of nitrogen oxides, which are produced – due to pressure a little higher and warmer – more.
