The roaring Chevrolet Corvette Z06 also becomes a world car

In Europe we are still waiting for the official Corvette introduced to the European market, but in America the Chevrolet is already preparing for the next step. After Coupé and Convertible, Z06 now follows. And that sounds great!

The Chevrolet doesn’t show any of the Corvette Z06 yet, but the American sports car is already making itself heard. The car manufacturer sends video in which the high-speed format allows its V8 engine to roar. The car manufacturer adds that the Corvette Z06 could be heard on the streets in America this autumn.

Less Down

And not just America, because the car manufacturer will be releasing the Corvette Z06 worldwide. It starts in the United States and will later be seen on the streets in Europe, New Zealand and Australia, among others, as evidenced by the name of a brand registered in Down Under earlier this month. By North America, the car manufacturer had already submitted the name. However, it is doubtful whether the Z06 name is also registered in Europe with the parent company General Motors. We can’t find that.

Number 5

At one time there was a Z06, several generations even. The first time the Z06 booster was used on the Corvette was the second generation. In 1962, Chevrolet introduced a special fun sports car package, which some aspects of the race he gave. The Z06 option did not return with the third version, even in the fourth generation. It was waiting for the fifth generation of the Corvette. In 2001 the Z06 was considered the best sports car in America. The Z06 was also a step higher in the range than conventional models, both because of its engine performance and low weight. Chevrolet also introduced the Z06 trim of the sixth and seventh generation. Number five will follow soon.

Light and wide

In a few months, Chevrolet will be releasing the latest version and providing the first details. As it turns out now, the Z06 will have a standard V8 engine, compatible with the automatic transmission of eight dual-clutch models. Driving forces are transferred to the road through the rear wheels. The engine is, of course, behind, something Chevrolet had in mind before the Corvette C7. The Z06 will undoubtedly get a wheel suspension modified by its driving behavior. This is easily achieved by Magnetic Planting Control, which immediately smoothes the balance on the road. Optionally, the Chevrolet will no doubt have carbon fiber wheels and carbon ceramic brake discs. All of this is packed into a body that Americans have aerodynamically faced and are also accustomed to wide suspension and tires.

More versions to follow

Chevrolet is now expanding its delivery program further. After the Z06, which is available as a Coupé with removable roof panels and as a Convertible with folding hardtop, there will be many more versions. A hybrid version is planned, like Grand Sport in which Stingray technology is integrated with the Z06 wide body. The top model of ZR1 and Zora will follow at a later stage.
