In the middle of June. The third shift will start at the Stellantis van factory in Gliwice. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the number of employees – the plant will employ 600 new people.
Let us remind you that the Gliwice plant produces versions of the Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper and Opel/Vauxhall Movano, as well as camper van bases. Stellantis vehicles are popular with customers in Europe, and Stellantis intends to use the existing production capacity of its Polish factory to meet market demand. Therefore, it will employ approximately 600 people in Gliwice.
The recruitment process has just started, and the first new employees are already joining the Gliwice team, so that in June the plant will start production in the system of three shifts.
– It is with great satisfaction that we announce the decision to launch the third shift at our factory in Gliwice, especially since it allows us to create 600 new jobs and confirms that Stellantis is strengthening its presence in Poland. Recently, we announced the selection of Gliwice as the location of one of the Stellantis Software Centers, which also means an increase in employment in our company – in this case by 300 people. – says Andrzej Korpak, CEO of Stellantis Gliwice.
– In total, we will employ almost a thousand people to develop our business in the area of LCV production, which is a very important asset of the Group’s portfolio, and modern IT technologies, which are one of the important things. of the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategy. he adds.
The LCV factory in Gliwice was built from scratch, becoming a modern production facility, producing not only delivery vehicles and motorhome bases, but also handling electric batteries for the needs of other units of the Group.
The plant also has a Conversion Center, which modifies vehicles according to specific application requirements.
Stellantis Gliwice employs approximately 2,000 people in production departments, as well as in departments providing services to other corporate units in Europe in the fields of Finance, IT, Purchasing and Central Engineering. In February of this year, the company announced the opening of the Software Experience Center.
