The FIM and Dorna have begun putting together the field for the 2025 Women’s Cyclocross World Championship. For Australia’s Tayla Relph, the biggest event of her life is underway.
Tayla Relph is a ray of sunshine in the scene of the Women’s World Tour Championship – WorldWCR for short. The Australian, with a winning smile and a surprisingly good attitude, made it to the podium in the second race in Cremona as one of only six competitors in the first season of the women’s world championship.
“The 2024 WorldWCR season was the most challenging but also the most rewarding year of my life,” admitted Relph. “Now that we know the European circuits and have found out what we need against the fastest women in the world, I’m ready for it. I want to prove what I can do with a year’s experience.
The 2025 elections have started and it was already known that strict standards will be applied. Seventh in the World Championship, the 27-year-old was one of the best pilots behind the Spanish giants at the front. It was assumed that Relph would get an offer. The fun is still great, but the trip to Europe is expensive.
“I am very pleased to officially announce that I have been selected for the 2025 season,” said Relph. “We are now looking for dedicated donors to support our campaign. We have put together various packages to enable me to participate.”
By the way: Relph’s best friend in the paddock is Saxon Lucy Michel, who has also received WorldWCR 2025 confirmation.
