The Tesla Model Y is now offered in “solid black” or “pearl white multicoat” shades at the new factory in Germany. According to “Autoweek News”, customers who choose different colors, such as red, blue or silver, will have to wait for their car until March 2023 at the earliest, because these are produced in a factory in Shanghai. Delivery of Models Y in black or white should take place in October this year.
Interestingly, Tesla is not the only manufacturer that makes the delivery date based on the color of the car. Automotive News reports that Renault Arkana buyers can also take advantage of the “speed track” by choosing black, pearl white or gray.
Soon, he will have a 12-day break planned at the Tesla factory in Grünheide, Germany, which will allow him, among others, to improve production. After the physical transformation, they are expected to spend only 45 seconds at each station instead of the current 90 seconds. After the summer break, the factory will resume production in a three-shift system. This also applies to the paint shop, where, according to industry sources, problems have arisen since the start of production in March this year.
