MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was arrested Saturday after allegedly breaking into three homes in three months.

Police say the first robbery happened on February 26. Around 6:10 p.m., officers responded to a break-in on Castleman Street.

When they spoke to the victim, he told them that when he got home, he found his house broken into. He told police that his camera captured a silver car parked in his driveway with an unknown man wearing blue jeans and a baseball cap under the hood.

When he looked inside his house, he saw his television and various pieces of jewelry had been taken.

Police went to the nearby Wooddale school and watched the video from their side. From the photos, they were able to determine that the car was a Buick LaCrosse.

The second robbery took place on March 6, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Officers responded to a burglary call on Quince Avenue. The female victim told police that when she arrived, she found that her home had been broken into.

His neighbors across the street had a camera that captured the silver Buick sitting in his driveway. When the victim checked her home, she discovered that her wedding rings had been stolen from her bedside table.

The third robbery was on April 12 at approximately 1:05 p.m. Officers responded to a robbery call on Boyce Road where they encountered a male victim. He told the police that while he was away from his home, someone broke in. He said he was missing a television, seven pairs of Jordans and a speaker.

He got video footage from a neighbor and it showed a man taking a silver Buick with Tennessee tags.

Police ran the tags and they came back to a 2005 Buick LaCrosse registered to a woman. The woman previously filed a police report saying she sold the car to Leroy Moody and stole his identification cards from him after he removed them from the car.

After further investigation, police say they were able to identify Moody as the person responsible for the three robberies.

Moody was arrested on Saturday and is being held on $40,000 bail.
