The DS Automobiles brand is working on a refresh of the DS 7 Crossback. We have already presented the first spy shots of the new SUV, but this time the automotive paparazzi has managed to take a look inside.

Last year, the DS 7 Crossback was the brand’s best-selling model, but customer interest is slowly splitting between the SUV and the DS 4. The latest compact has raised the bar in terms of design and on-board technology. We’d like to see the French manufacturer’s latest solutions in the form of a facelifted DS 7 Crossback, but the first image of the interior shows that the DS Automobiles brand doesn’t intend to carry all the innovation.

The screen is similar to the current model. All we can do is hope for changes in the interface and improved response speed to driver commands. The premium manufacturer has left the same arrangement of buttons on the steering wheel and the gear stick, which in our opinion should provide a way to select a small automatic transmission, which can be found in all new models of Stellantis. Even recently he joined the offer Peugeot 208 up to 2008.

The lack of change is a little disappointing, but we must remember that this is only one of the examples. To see how the French premium SUV will really change, we have to wait until the official photos of the car are presented. We expect that the brand will put more work into the body design. The new DS 7 Crossback will basically get new daytime running lights similar to the DS 4, redesigned headlights and widened lower hoods. The comparison is clearly visible in the picture below, which we received from our reader Tomasz. At the rear, DS Automobiles will mildly modify the taillights.

After the end of the work of the first generation, the DS 7 Crossback will have a successor, which will be built on the brand new STLA Medium platform to enable the installation of an electric vehicle. The floor pan will also serve the new Peugeot 3008. The number two DS 7 Crossback will no longer be offered at Sochaux. Parliament will be moved to Italy.
