Is it a good idea to replace my 2016 Chevrolet Sonic RS with a Buick Envista?

I currently own a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic RS, I fell in love with the Buick Envista, which I find very nice.

Although my “car needs” are limited (my Sonic only has 56,000 km), I want to spoil myself with this product. Do you recommend it?

Welcome to Marie-Claude

The Buick Envista truly has charm. GM has also given great importance to this feature to entice buyers, who could choose the Chevrolet Trax with the same engine, at a lower price. That said, its more attractive design and more luxurious finish make it an attractive product. Its success is guaranteed in Quebec, where the love of small cars still remains strong.

It must be understood that with the increase in the price of Encore GX, and also because the latter is more difficult and therefore a little less, many buyers risk setting their eyes on Envista. A vehicle that, however, does not offer the benefit of all-wheel drive, as is the case with the Encore GX.

Now, if the build quality and road manners of this little Buick are okay, you should know that the engine turns out to be a little stiff. It’s actually directly comparable to that of your Chevrolet Sonic, offering comparable power and less generous torque, but still using a three-cylinder engine. The latter is therefore a little short of breath considering its high weight, although its initial torque is very satisfactory. Also note that its fuel consumption is not as impressive as you would like to believe, around 8 L/100 km.

However, if you consider your needs and the minimum distance you cover, this engine will perform better. After being there for a while, it doesn’t seem to have any major problems, suggesting good reliability.
