Who invented this wonderful concept? Hint: It’s not Chrysler

In a world dominated by SUVs, let us tell you about a new sports car concept that, although it has no chance of seeing the light of day, comes as a nice breath of fresh air at the end of 2023 is a dark year.

It is a luxury electric coupe called Aegis. And no, despite what the front end might suggest, it’s not the work of Chrysler that would imagine a futuristic interpretation of immortality. Crossfire.

This car is actually a style study by a group of car designers from, among others, Volvoof Volkswagen and of BMW. Their aim was to express the purity and beauty of the car in the modern age, without gimmicks or the abundance of technology.

The silhouette is reminiscent of that of Jaguar F-Type, is considered one of the most beautiful cars in the world. We even seem to notice the influence ofAston Martin and of Ferrarior even Mazda RX-8 and very muscular front wings.

One of the most important things is undoubtedly the generous glass surface of the cabin, which corrects one of the main faults of sports coupes, namely the lack of visibility. A central windshield wiper is, however, an obvious choice, even if it mimics that of large sports cars such as Koenigsegg Gemera and Jesus.

Inside the Aegis concept, carbon fiber, aluminum and leather are featured to create a minimalist aesthetic where the screens are absent and the steering wheel takes on the form of a work of art itself. The console folds into the console to fully enclose the two occupants.

The color contrast is interesting, as is the evening light, as you can see in the pictures in our gallery. On the other hand, regarding the comfort of the seats, we will come back to that. One last thing to point out: the rear trunk doesn’t feel very large, but there is another storage area under the long hood in front.

What do you think about the results? If only the manufacturer could get together to make it a production model…
