this is how the Audi Q4 e-tron has grown

not defined – not defined

In 2018, just six years ago, there were up to 400. Today, Audi’s highest performance e-tron family reaches up to 650 kilometers of autonomy with a full tank of power.. Beyond the focus on electric mobility, this is an informative piece of data to understand the development of the German brand, and why the prospect of achieving functional equilibrium with combustion engines in the short term – Audi talks about 700 km – is more a certainty than a concept. This emphasis is a duty to understand the commitment and confidence with which the German manufacturer continues to invest energy and money in its 100% battery-powered vehicle category, which will see 6 new or updated models this year, from Q4 to Q6, pass through. through the A6 and also consider related Sportback versions. The program is based on an investment of 28 billion within three years, the most powerful program in its history. By 2026, the complete electric range of Audi will include more than 20 models. Later – at least this is the plan based on the future decisions of the European government – completely new electric cars will be launched on the world market.

It is for these buildings that we tested it on the road 2024 version of the Q4 -tronA sports SUV launched in 2021 by Audi which is now launched in the market without any aesthetic innovations but with notable upgrades in terms of performance, power and charging speed. The new rear engine delivers on average 40% more power and 75% more torque to the three Q4 e-tron versions in the range than the car it replaces. Along with the horsepower (now from 286 to 340), the range also grows, up to +19 km: the range of the Sportback 45 e-tron variant, better in terms of mileage, therefore reaches 559 km. The payload is also greater : up to 175 kilometers of autonomy can be restored in 10 minutes by connecting the car to a super charge station. The plug&charge function is standard in all versions: in compatible charging stations (Ionity and Ewiva) vehicles are automatically authorized to insert the cable and start operation without the need for a card or software.

High efficiency, thanks to improved fuel management, and a lot of freedom thanks to the new cell chemistry, is accompanied by automatic steering and sports suspension. We appreciated it during our test between Bologna and Pesaro, on mixed roads where the Q4 e-tron handled itself with ease despite its weight and size. The silence of the electronic transport is enhanced by the cramped environment of the passenger compartment, while the direct steering and sports suspension setting also allow you to have fun on the bends, in perfect safety at all times. If we really want to find fault with a car that can’t be criticized, the overall beauty and the slightly bumpy rear spoiler, let’s just say that it doesn’t win the award for the best Audi on the market. But it is always a matter of taste.

Produced at the Audi plant in Brussels and at the Volkswagen Group’s multi-brand site in Zwickau, like all of Audi’s all-electric C-SUVs it is part of Europe’s only fully certified carbon-free premium range which, in addition to adopting sustainable elements resulting from recycling, it integrates the closed cycle of glass in the production process.
Price: The new Audi Q4 e-trons are available in Italian dealerships from 57,800 euros for the SUV version and from 59,800 euros for the Sportback version.
