This is how the new Volkswagen Golf eHybrid (2024) comes in electric mode

With its 204 hp hybrid drive, the Volkswagen Golf eHybrid welcomes eco-conscious drivers who aren’t yet ready to drive fully. Thanks to the greatly increased capacity of the car’s battery – from 10.6 to 19.7 kWh – the special electric range is more than 120 km. This will allow you to complete many daily trips without gasoline. We can’t wait to see how this works in practice.

Golf eHybrid (2024): combined range of 1000 km

The combined driving range of the electric motor and the economical 1.4 liter TSI is about 1000 km. On our Facebook page we sometimes get the impression that many diesel drivers can hold their urine for that long. If you can’t do that, you can also do a quick charge while relaxing in the bathroom.

Fast charging with 50 kW

The new Golf eHybrid also has good news in this area, because the fast charging capacity is now 50 kW. Even the fully electric e-Golf did not exceed 40 kW. The expectation is that the fast charger will go from 10 to 80 percent of battery capacity within half an hour.

Interior improvements

Volkswagen has not only made technical changes to the Golf eHybrid. The interior and exterior have also been improved. For example, the cursed touch sliders for the climate system and volume control have been fixed. According to Volkswagen, they are now more ergonomic to use and they are also illuminated. There are physical buttons on the steering wheel.

How much does the new Volkswagen plug-in golf cost?

According to plans, the new Volkswagen Golf eHybrid will be available at dealers from July. Volkswagen is hiding the price for a while. As soon as they are known, we will share them with you here. Volkswagen is also returning with a 272 hp Golf GTE hybrid, but we’re still in the dark about the launch date for that version.
