Cupra Formentor will get a new look. See how this bestseller will evolve

Cupra achieved success that the Volkswagen group had never achieved with Seat. The German concern has finally found a brand that has a sporty character and is considered fashionable. Many attempts to give Kiti such a picture ended in failure. The way was made by the Cupra Ateca, but in fact it was Cupra Formentor built the great success of this company.

This bestseller will soon undergo a major overhaul. The Spaniards are preparing a large set of changes, which will also be the seed of changes for other models of the brand. What should we expect here?

Cupra Formentor – facelift. This car was started over a year ago!

More precisely, in June 2022, when Cupra revealed its future plans during the big show. Several new models were shown at the time, including the long-awaited Terramara, a cousin of the Spanish version of the Audi Q3.

During the same event, the facelifted Cupra Leon and Formentor were seen on stage. The front fascia has been completely redesigned, with new headlights with a different light signature and a sharper front fascia design.

Our colleagues from motor.es He was arrested in Formentor during the trials in Spain. The car is almost ready for production, and their photos confirm that the model will be the same as in the “prototypes” from last year.

Although the masking effectively hides all the new elements, it is clear that the black element on the grill only “pretends” the current shape of the front fascia. The details of the bumper and lights here match the model presented by Terramar.

The back also shows a handful of minor changes. The headlights have a new light signature, and the bumper has slightly changed its shape.

We still don’t know what Cupra will give us inside, but there should be plenty of new stuff here too. Expect a larger multimedia system screen, color changes and possibly new digital clock graphics.

This is not the end of the brand new things

The Cupra Formentor is not the only car that will undergo a facelift. Similar changes (with minor differences) can be found in Leon, which we will meet next year. The aforementioned Cupra Terramar is also on the way. This is a new SUV that will replace the Ateca in the offer. We are talking about the design of the Audi Q3, covered by the Spanish brand and the most attractive body.

Interestingly, under the hood in this case we will find only PHEV drives. The Terramar will come from the company’s Hungarian factory, from the same production line as the Q3.

The Cupra Born will also get a change package. Thanks to this, it will resemble the electric Tavascan, an SUV similar to the Volkswagen ID.5.

In 2026, we will Cuprę Raval, i.e. a city car based on the MEB Entry platform. The important factor here is the low price and high efficiency, which puts this car in front of the segment.
