400Km range, 22kW and fast charging for Ford E-Transit!

Ford has been promoting its E-Transit for some time now, a 100% electric utility vehicle that caters to the needs of technicians and professionals, who need to upgrade their fleet to clean vehicles.

Launched in June 2022, the E-Transit is the best-selling 2-tonne vehicle in Europe with over 55% market share in 2023.. Increased freedom, faster charging… is it finally becoming necessary for professionals? We take stock!

Excellent electrical performance

The most important new feature of the Ford E-Transit is about freedom.

Thanks for the pack net 89 kWh, the car has up to 402 km of WLTP rangea 28% gain compared to the previous generation, which was a bit tight on the highway.

The extended E-Transit range highlights Ford Pro’s commitment to delivering highly efficient electric fleets across Europe.said Hans Schep, Managing Director of Ford Pro Europe. Enabling customers to drive longer between recharges, offering them a wider choice of body options and supporting them with the integrated Ford Pro ecosystem, reinforces our role as a trusted partner providing a complete fleet solution.

We can do that calculate 250Km between two charges on long trips, which is finally acceptable. Note the arrival of the steam injection heat pump, which increases the charging speed: 10 minutes is enough to regain 116 kilometers of freedom and. 28 minutes to recharge the battery from 10 to 80% thanks to the power that goes from 115 to 180 kW! It’s better than most electric sedans!

Another interesting new feature, the AC (direct) charge comes out 11 to 22 kW which allows a full refill of energy in less than six hours. For urban or suburban use, it is very practical: a lunch break allows you to recover a good third of the battery.

Advanced Ford Pro solutions, including the installation of charging equipment, make it possible to fully use this potential. With Ford Pro Telematics 4 software, fleet managers can easily monitor the charging characteristics and fuel efficiency of their vehicles and can set charging schedules to take advantage of cheaper rates, lock chargers to prevent unauthorized use and set conditions for Battery initialization for maximum freedom. Ford Pro Telematics also makes it possible to manage the use of the entire fleet of vehicles for all types of engines.
