Cupra Terramar (2024) is ready for series production of patent issuance

(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Cupra Terramar will be one of the most important new launches of the Spanish brand in 2024. After the success of the small Cupra Formentor, this new model will be slightly larger with a length of around 4.50 meters and technological equipment many.

As seen now in the patent rendering, the SUV has an attractive front fascia with aggressive creases on the hood, a large grille and headlights that are said to feature Matrix LED technology and the brand’s new light signature.

In profile, the model appears muscular. With widened wheel arches and voluminous rims. The beautiful exterior mirrors, roof rails and shark fin antenna cannot be overlooked. The rear has a spoiler, a full-length lamp and a diffuser.

Inside we see a very clean design, with the touchscreen taking center stage. Of course, it should also offer a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display and various storage compartments as well as USB ports on the center console.

Electric vehicles have yet to be officially presented, but PHEV versions with an electric range of around 100 km are expected. Light hybrid petrol engines are also expected to appear. The new Cupra Terramar will share the platform and engine with the upcoming Audi Q3 and the already introduced VW Tiguan. However, the Spanish model is likely to come with some sporting surprises.

With this information in mind, the new Cupra Terramar should position itself as a good choice in the compact SUV segment. Here it will compete with Ford Kuga, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Peugeot 3008 and Renault Austral. By the way, it is built in Györ, Hungary, along with the new Audi Q3.

It is not yet known when Cupra will officially pull the plug on the new model. However, since the corresponding concept was presented more than a year ago, we should not be patient for much longer.
